THEORY FOR COURT REPORTING - IN-HOUSE STUDENTS
Every
lesson in the textbook used for this course is considered a test
lesson. Students must pass each
lesson with a very strong understanding of that lesson. Any score below 85% is a "no pass".
Any Theory test resulting in below 85% must be retaken by
arrangement with the Instructor. If the retaken test results
in a "no pass", the student will be required to retake those
lessons covered in a "no pass" test.
A third
test will be given covering the same material. If the student
fails the third test with a "no pass", the student will be
assigned to repeat Theory in the next available class.
A Final
Test is administered at the end of Theory to cover all the
material presented during the Theory Course. A student must
pass the Final Test with an 85% pass rate in order to advance
into Speed Building. The Final Test may be taken as may times
as necessary, in two week intervals, by arrangement with the
Instructor.
SPEED
BUILDING - IN-HOUSE STUDENTS Each
class incorporates a five minute dictated test for each speed.
It is a student's option to transcribe the test to be handed
in for grading. A test is considered "cold" two weeks after it
is given and may not be handed in for consideration. A student
must pass 3 five-minute dictated tests at each speed level in
order to advance into the next speed level. A pass is 95%
accuracy or above.
